And the fact that this type of stuff almost never ...
... gets national media coverage is why so many people think it never really happens.
Just like court cases. When the government loses a court case and also loses the appeal, the cases are almost never "published." Only published cases are used as precedent. If the gov't wins a case, it gets published, but if it loses most people don't know it ever happened (and future courts cannot use it as precedent).
Same thing with the media.
Same thing with the government schools' history books.
Etc., etc., etc.
