I never really took offense

I never really took offense to the "do you know why I stopped you" question, although it certainly is designed to create an opportunity for the person stopped to incriminate him or herself. When I've been in that situation I've either answered "no sir, not really" if that were the case or "Yes I've got a pretty good idea" - - but NEVER actually tell them why I think I'm being stopped. What if it's a different reason? Now I've given them another charge they might not have been aware of!

The one that really annoys me is the "Where are you going?" or some variation. I've been asked that before and gone along to avoid a hassle, but it's always bothered me. If I'm speeding, give me a speeding ticket, but it's none of their damn business where I'm going!
