Comment: Automobile Control

Automobile Control

It could be argued we do need some automotive travel (for paramedics or firefighters for example), same as we could argue we need some guns (for police for example, or the president could argue his armed guards are necessary). Ok, so then let's ban all leisure travel. Automobile control. We could say that a family drive to the park or to Disneyland or to go camping just isn't worth the lives that are risked. We could accuse anyone who opposes of having "blood on their hands," the blood of all those lives lost by the additional road travel that leisure drives contribute. Intelligence includes a sense of perspective. Otherwise, it's just mindless knee-jerking.
