it's a tactic not to name kids who survive shootings

(doesn't happen often - but it's a tactic.)

as the media/public tends to ruin their lives by making them 'that kid survived the shooting' when if kept anonymous they could probably have a career, somewhat normal life.

the media/public would make some of the survivors here lifelong media targets, i don't see anything wrong in them trying to get a normal life.
