I would focus on a different issue

For a religious person, his god's teaching is the most revered thing (out of selfish childish desire to extend life after death.)

Religious person understands that it is still a belief rather than knowledge. One cannot get real joy out of god unless he knows many others believe in the same thing. He needs indirect proof that he is not insane or accepted a wrong god. Thus, religion is a COLLECTIVIST dogma.

Conclusion - the main focus of a TRUE religious person, on average, can not be INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM. Often, religious person is the enemy of individual freedom when his religion dominates political landscape.
