calling police and firemen, "first -responders" implies that we are to call 911 and then wait "passively" by until some public officer
responds to the call. How insane is that? The individual MUST accept responsability to protect and defend themselves and others under their care. The response-ABILITY, must not be hampered or hindered by bureaucrats and do-gooders in Washington , or any other distant authorities. I AM authorized to protect myself and any defenseless person within reach who is the target of undue aggression.
