Are You Kidding Me?

The media coverage was HUGE at the time. Old news.

The media made all the obvious comparisons to the earlier event, and interviewed witnesses, etc. I saw it on the news, and I don't even watch TV news.

This news is so old because: the investigation was much simpler, there were fewer victims, it didn't last as long, children weren't involved, etc. The public doesn't have any further interest in this story. It's over.

It's bad enough dealing with all the real "conspiracies" without making this one up. This is free-market at work: the public has lost interest in this.

Believe me, if there was any more money to be made covering this story, the media would be all over it. (I guess Alex can still make use of it.)
