In reply to comment: Hmm, this is 'Latter Rain' stuff (see in situ)

The term "Latter Rain" came into use some years after 1948.

This was when this mighty move of God that began in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada in the Spring of 1948 became the province of men. This has been a common feature of any revelations given by the Holy Spirit throughout Church history. Here is the personal testimony of a man, George Warnock, who was present at the time of this outpouring of the Holy Spirit:

Here is an excerpt from this testimony:

"But after a few years I was becoming more and more aware that the Spirit of God no longer hovered over us as He once did. Several others felt the same way. God forbid that I should attach any blame to anyone…He alone is the Judge. Perhaps all of us who were involved, were responsible in one way or another, for causing the Holy Dove of God’s Spirit to be grieved. I knew I must leave…but I never lost confidence in what God had done, and would yet do…when a new generation would earnestly seek the Lord to come again, and set up His habitation in the midst of His people." (end quote)

The revelations given about the five fold ministry, universal salvation, the man child, sonship, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Kingdom of God were mostly rejected by the institutional churches as is also quite normal and has been since the beginning. I came to this teaching much later after many years in a denominational Pentecostal church. It was however what I have always sought and could not find in the church system. The Spirit Himself led me out of the world into the Church in 1977 then out of the Church into the Kingdom in 1998.

As to the "megachurch" phenomenon you refer to I have no knowledge of that. It seems unlikely. The only teachers of this message I know are all outside the denominational churches. I believe there are possibly hundreds of thousands of us all over the world, it is impossible to know, but not to my knowledge in any denominational church.

If by "Christianity" you mean what is taught in the "Christian" religious system then I would have to agree with you since there are many false doctrines and practices in the denominational churches. The word I have received and believed in is what the Lord Jesus Christ Himself taught and what His apostles taught and what the Spirit of the Lord has revealed to those with ears to hear. As I say, I belonged to an "active" Pentecostal church for over twenty years and am very familiar with the rudimentary teachings that are given out each week and the famine of hearing the word of God in these institutions which are little more than warehouses for baby Christians lapping the milk rather eating the meat of the Word of God.

It is very interesting that the Pharisees accused the Lord Jesus Christ of the very same thing as you have accused those of us who are simply following Him. You do seem to be misinformed about what the teaching is so I would caution you not to make accusations against the brethren without a deeper understanding. If you do not aspire to be fully like Him, a complete functioning member of His Body, then why do you call yourself a Christian? It is after all what we are called to be and it is the very meaning and purpose of our existence as human beings.

I did ask the Father to give me a word for you and here it is:

Luke: 11:46 But Jesus replied, “Woe to you experts in religious law as well! You load people down with burdens difficult to bear, yet you yourselves refuse to touch the burdens with even one of your fingers!

11:47 Woe to you! You build the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors killed. 11:48 So you testify that you approve of the deeds of your ancestors, because they killed the prophets and you build their tombs! 11:49 For this reason also the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ 11:50 so that this generation may be held accountable for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, 11:51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be charged against this generation.

11:52 Woe to you experts in religious law! You have taken away the key to knowledge! You did not go in yourselves, and you hindered those who were going in.”

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
