Thank you, Awakening Day

Whether or not I agree that it is altogether missing within the liberty movement, I agree with you as to what is important for it to thrive. But in general, I think the traditional concept of "family" is a crucial component. Both in terms of the nuclear family and also extended family, it's practically gone, and there's no turning back. Single-parenting, divorce, or two parents both with outside careers have become a part of the cultural status quo. Now it's common for children to be raised by/derive their values from left-leaning public schools during school hours; and, after school, leftist Hollywood tv shows & movies, along with amoral designers of computer games. Now also its common for older people - whom some cultures almost revere for their work and their wisdom - to move from family to warmer climes or, without family, into nursing homes. Add to that (if for good reason imo) the decline of "the church." Unless there is a renewal of appreciation for family, along with some kind of spiritual renewal, I can't see us heading towards anything but a socialist state.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
