What keeps beans from softening? I've tried it all. 24 hr. soak, pressure cook, etc. When I ask people this question I get a crazy look and then they'll say hummmm, 'must be old beans'. Well tried different beans about 10 times and still comin out hard. Then some people say hard water makes em hard to soften. Well I'm using filtered water.
Is there anything, like and enzyme or sumthin that I can add to soften em up?
