Last time Ron voted for a bill that would only stop tax raises
on middle class, for the same reason he greets the idea that half don't pay taxes with the statement 'we are half way there'. He wants to stop as much tax as he can on whomever he can free of it.
My understanding is the spending cuts couldn't get enough votes in the House, and that being the case, without this bill taxes go up automatically on a lot more than they will go up for WITH this bill.
What I don't know is how much new spending there is in it, compared to the baseline of automatic increases. I wish there were an analysis against the baseline that would occur with no bill at all.
However, the voting will all be done before we find that out.
