To qualify my statement, let me say that I invested 6 or more years learning everything I could about biodiesel and trying to find a way to break into the industry. I quit when I finally came to the conclusion that biodiesel made from oil from soybeans could never compete with conventional diesel in price but for the government subsidies and tax credits for fuel blending facilities.
Thanks for posting this story which unfortunately isn't an isolated case, not by a long shot. The separate 'in-transport' scam is by now basically a tradition in the trucking industry and certainly also played a part in this particular fiasco.
