Correct. As per Spooner's articulation, It's all illegitimate. The fact that people continue to act as though it is legitimate only indicates the pervasive nature and depth of the myth and misunderstanding.

In essence, it boils down to that interventionist imagining called "the social contract", whereby a group of people declare themselves a government, make up some rules that suit their fancy, and then pretend everyone else magically agreed to and must abide by them -- in perpetuity. It's absurd on its face, let alone when taken to task as thoroughly as Spooner's treatment of it long ago.
