...I just don't see how anything Rand did or didn't do had any effect on how things played out. Nothing Rand did or didn't do was the cause of Ron being denied a role at the convention. On the other hand, if you're arguing that Ron is responsible, in that he decided not to push it all the way for the sake of Rand, well that's plausible. I don't know whether that's true or not, I suspect there's a least a grain of truth in it; and if it were true, I don't think I'd fault Ron for that. The last cavalry charge into the mouth of the guns is glorious but it doesn't achieve anything. Better to live and fight another day IMO.
