with your overall assessment Mark. I don't see the government overtly nuking a city. What would be more likely would be a false flag nuke blamed on terrorist militias but even that is a long shot. The urban wars in Iraq and Afghanistan teach us one thing and that is that taking a city is fruitless because you can never hold it. I see more of a guerrilla war with hit and run attacks, hidden bases of operations perhaps at scattered safe houses. How do you nuke that? I think nukes are a non issue.
You are right though that we crossed a threshold long ago that greatly reduces our ability to fight a tyrannical government which means that any uprising is sure to fail unless there is significant military support.
