Just as Ron Paul said when he entered the convention "they won't let you do that." even though it was their rules.
The GOP might just be desperate enough after 2014 to push a liberty candidate to the nomination.
Ron Paul compromised when he re-joined the Republican party and he has had a bigger influence and done great things because of that compromise.
Rand Paul's compromise with GOP leadership can also bring about great things.
It would't help if Ron Paul supporters united behind the mans son. Do you really think someone raised by Ron Paul doesn't listen to Ron Paul? I'll bet Ron is behind a bunch of Rand's move. I bet Ron regrets not compromising somewhere down the road. I also think Ron Paul regrets leaving the Republican Party and running Libertarian in 88 as that greatly hurt his influence in the GOP and minimally helped advance the cause of liberty.
The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his Government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe. - Andrew Jackson
