Did you even read what I wrote?

I was indeed an agnostic of sorts at one time and I did not understand the Bible. I thought I did but my comprehension was at best rudimentary. After the Word of God apprehended me the scriptures were opened up to me and the reality of God, Christ in me, was revealed to me.

This had nothing at all to do with my own wishes. It happened autonomously apart from anything resembling my own will. Since then over a period of thirty six years my spiritual faith has grown and to it has been added virtue, to virtue, knowledge, to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. (2 Peter 1:6-7).

You have expended a great deal of time and effort in a fruitless pursuit of mere wind, what the wise king of ancient Israel, Solomon called vanity. In so doing you have been an empty vessel, an expedient depositary for every stray wind of doctrine carried abroad by the prince of the power of the air to lead astray susceptible souls such as yourself.

I trust this is simply a youthful enthusiasm that will pass and that God in His mercy will bring this expedition of yours to an end with a confrontation with Himself that you will not soon forget.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
