And I agree. This more thought out response was what I was looking for in your initial comment. When you leave this clear thinking out you can understand how it could be taken in the wrong way. Not that what you said was wrong, but now I can see your whole point and I appreciate your contribution to the discussion.
Just as a side note, I find a lot of what Alex talks about to be quite valid and important but his way of approaching these issues doesn't represent MY approach to them. I stopped listening to him for a few years after 9/11 because that's when I started to "see" the world in a new way and his intensity actually contributed to a bout of depression I went through. I don't wish that on anyone. I have noticed he has calmed down somewhat but I still find the intensity and "overacting" unnecessary myself.
