Second Amendment

Most people, including people here on the DP don't understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Read the preamble to the BOR. It says that the following list enumerates further restrictions on the federal government. The BOR is NOT a list of rights that we have.

The Articles of the Constitution enumerate the limited powers delegated to the federal government by the people and the BOR are further restrictions on those powers.

The Constitution doesn't give us the right to bear arms, we always had that right. On the other hand, government was never delegated the power to regulate firearms.
