Did the thieves shoot first or the defenders?

Does it make any difference? Were the British likely to abandon their confiscation orders?

Why do the narratives fail to talk much of the property stolen, privacy invaded or gatherings dispersed? Is it just me or...

What would convince me to grab a gun. What where they thinking as they did? The little lady and the children. Maybe grandma and pa at the neighboring farm...Last summer crops laid up for the winter.
