Does it matter?

I think the argument of born-gay versus turn-gay is a distraction. Unless you're really truly interested in the biology or genetics, which most people don't seem to be, this topic seems to only come up in the political sphere in order to justify different interventionist laws. People want to justify legislation either against gay people or in forcing someone's religion or therapy on another person. I know DP'ers aren't that way, and am sure that was not the intention of the original post here. Just thought I'd share my normal reaction when I hear Dems and Repubs arguing over it. I like to ask them "who cares?" and usually the reason turns out to be that they just wanted support to craft some sort of legislation of their own choosing.
