When you are emailing back and fourth with someone the quoted text below your new reply extends downward. Normally you do not even pay attention to that. Now say you email something to me... then I can change what you said on the way back. In yahoo at least... when you see the quoted text on the next go around there is no way to tell it was edited. Follow?
