I didn't say hermits.

I am talking about members of the Christian faith. In order to subscribe to the Christian doctrine, you must believe that you are born despicable, only deserving of death, fire and brimstone until someone fixes you with magical forgiveness. That is negative religion, mandatory self-loathing as a fundament of the belief system.

Scripture was put together piece-meal; Jesus didn't publish a book. It is self-contradictory when viewed as a whole. There is no justifying context for being happy about smashing babies on rocks. It takes an open heart and mind to admit that part of what you were indoctrinated with... is wrong.
