Primarily I use cash but if I want to use a payment card I prefer not to use a credit card since all the ones I have found are linked to the big corrupt banks like Chase/CitiBank/etc. Remember that these criminal organizations get several % of each transaction. It especially hurts the small business since the fewer the transactions the greater the fee.
So I opened up two accounts at my credit union. One is my main account and the other has limited funds. Generally less than a few hundred dollars. That will suffice for most of my day to day transactions where cash or checks is inconvenient (online transactions for example) and if I need to make a larger transaction I can easily transfer that money instantaneously between my accounts 24/7.
The fees to the business owner is far lower on debit cards so it's helping out the small business owners too!
