The lawn sign idea has been around for at least 10 years; I remember the LP or Harry Browne promoting it. We couldn't get anyone to take them then, either.

And yet, voters still vote to have the billboard-equivalent posted in their cities and states.

"This city proudly disarmed of guns." or "Welcome. Now entering a state where people can't shoot you. Come on in."
