And I can assure you that when the insurance companies want information, they get it. The doctor wants paid, if the insurance demands an ICD-9 code, and they do, they have your diagnosis. If people would start to DEMAND confidentiality and stop signing those HIPPA waivers, things would get very interesting very quickly. But, the patient wants the insurance to pay the bill, too. So, we get what we have. Healthcare has morphed into a database for Pharma experiments on humans. Plain and simple.
