How about the Civil Rights Movement

You make a good point, civil disobedience is mostly just asking for trouble in America

The best example I can draw to America is the Civil Rights Movement. The stories of Rosa Parks and the cafe sit-ins.

I am in no way comparing what Libertarians face nearly as serious as the horrible things African Americans had to face during the Civil Rights Movement.

Do you think peaceful civil disobedience helped the Civil Rights Movement? If so, could peaceful civil disobedience help the Individual Rights Movement deliver a nation from collectivism?

The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his Government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe. - Andrew Jackson
