interesting thinking. but the thinking doesn't go far enough.

(1) "People get the government they deserve" is a truism. More specifically, the MAJORITY of "Americans" are American in citizenship only. It is sort of like the German divide: the Nazis on the one hand and the Jews and other unfortunates on the other. This is the natural result of effectively recruiting new citizens (not just propagandizing them) primarily from the nonproductive, non-intelligent, non-successful class. The majority of citizens are enemies of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights or, at best, they don't care. Most citizens are children of immigrants raised by Statist parents and educated in Statist schools. They are beyond education by intellectual discussion. Did the majority of immigrants come here for freedom FROM government (the definition of a governor is something which limits freedom) or for Disneyland, welfare, and other benefits where people hope to extract more than they contribute THROUGH fictitious entities such as "government"?

(2) Perhaps the world -- and specifically most of those on this site -- would be better off WITHOUT the United States? Certainly the people of the various states of the USSR are better off without the monolithic unity. I leave that one for you guys to ponder. But let me throw in a little to chew on. Except for the fear that a collapsing US might become psychotically murderous with its technology, what REALLY does the US staying together contribute to the betterment of the world? Or to you, personally? I suggest...NOTHING. You are in a cage where the majority regard YOU as what is for dinner; there isn't a lot to discuss. Further, and more telling, isn't the "unity" of the US a farce at this point? And it isn't a farce because putative "Americans" are divided irreconcilably on the issue of something for nothing (or, perhaps more correctly put, the desire to extract more benefits than one contributes AS MEASURED IN A FREE MARKET (which we don't have), much of the divide shows up in Red vs Blue states election after election ... while those of us who are black and blue have no place to really call home. Some want more than they contribute. And that some is now a super majority voting block which controls all elections. It isn't really the case that the majority needs to be "informed". It is that they need to get what they have coming to them. Republicans and Democrats are effectively all socialist/Statist; they just can't decide on whether to eat the other party first or go after the independents.

Yeah. I'm probably going on some list because of this post. Aren't we all...?

I have no political opinion. I just want to get the hell out.

Bill of Rights /Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Do you need a politician or judge to "interpret" those 28
