Could it be that

data entry is outsourced to a part of the world that is a day ahead of us? When I see these things pointed out about dates having a pattern of being one day ahead, that is always the first thing that occurs to me.

Or, maybe it just passes through servers that are in another time zone, and the data gets time-stamped in that way.
