Well, Youtube has been operated by Google for a good while, now.
And they're generalizing the tediousness of their fantabulous platform across the board of apps and features now. YT included, evidently.
I agree. Super annoying. Forceful.
I actually had to change my name in the Gmail account I'd use. If only to just appear as "Cyril J" to comment here or there on people's channels. They want to display what else to the entire online universe? How much I size in my shoes? Or the color and motifs of my underwears?
Not that I want to hide from them (I know they can know pretty much anything they want if just dear gov't asks or suggests them), but I didn't want random people to see my last name.
I decide where and when my full name appears. Like, proudly, on here, the Daily Paul. I DO want dear gov't to know WHO I AM ON HERE. Elsewhere? To MY discretion, thanks.
So, Youtube and their IDIOTIC privacy policy and features update... Forceful. Tedious. I totally confirm. I didn't have much high hopes re: Google past 2006 or so, but I wasn't expecting them becoming so forceful, indelicate.
Just like I did with Facebook, I might as well drop them altogether eventually.
Bear.
My name's pronounced like "see real". Its root is "Lord".
