This is not how you do science. You need a double blind study with sufficient numbers to detect a difference. The numbers for the flu shot are modest. This year is a good match, so it provides about 60% protection against the flu. Still many other viruses to get, but the flu is a bit nastier then most of the common ones. It's a reasonable choice, that should be particularly encourage for those near young kids and the elderly at risk or in the health field, but otherwise reasonable to pass over. If you want good evidence I recommend the book "The Panic Virus". Vaccines have done a lot of good things and saved countless lives, but they do have some limitations.
