It might not be a bad idea - but it doesn't exist.

Forgiveness is a metaphysical concept. There is no such thing as forgiveness in a real sense. Restitution is a different thing. For instance, if a man killed my wife and was truly sorry, the only way to make restitution for his act would be to kill his own wife. Other than that, there is no reason for us to be on equal moral ground, which is what "forgiveness" provides. The idea of forgiveness is a concept used by religious leaders to get away with horrible acts against the liberty of others, rape, torture, etc....
