God created this universe, including you and me, and set up rules for how things work in this world. So I think we should pay heed to what the Creator said, so we don't hurt ourselves as a consequence of our ignorance of the rules that we should live by.

You don't need to know how gravity works, but you do need to know it works and the consequence of going against it!
