There is an old saying...

There is an old saying about how loaded guns are not dangerous, it's the "unloaded" ones that are so deadly. The point of that is that people mistakenly think a weapon is unloaded and may be casual about pointing them when in fact the gun actually is loaded. People who know their guns are loaded treat them with respect.
