Many sheriffs don't support the law

Here is a link to a story about sheriifs in upstate New York not supporting the law:

Here is a quote from the article from Steuben County sheriff David Cole:

"These laws will now make it so thousands and thousands of law-abiding citizens, who go to work, pay their taxes, and (are) concerned about their children’s future, will now be considered criminals if they choose to stand up for the Second Amendment rights guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution."

A quote from York County sheriff John York:

"It was passed so quickly by a Legislature that didn’t ask or look for input from the law-enforcement community, Most importantly, it didn’t look for input from the public. I think the public will make the final decision when it comes to the elections again."

For those of you who don't know New York state, everything outside of New York city is called "upstate" and upstate New York is mostly a redneck red state. Unfortunately, upstate is usually outvoted by the libertards in NYC.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.
