Comment: A friend of mine...
A friend of mine...
A friend of mine was in the US Army and was in Viet Nam with an older more experienced grunt in a mine field clearing-out the mines. The older fellow was casually walking around as though he knew where there were no mines. The younger grunt asked the older how he knew where the mines were and the answer he received shocked the hell out of him. The older fellow didn't know where the mines were, he simply didn't care since he had just received a "Dear John" letter from his sweetheart back home and didn't care if he lived or died and in the process exposing my friend to danger.
I want people in my foxhole who have the ability to accurately assess situations and to make rational decisions based upon criteria with which I agree. This precludes Christians since their motivations may be WAY different than those of logical intelligent people. They may conclude that they don't give a crap about this earthly realm since they are "saved" and will go to heaven to be with Jesus or whatever and then figuratively drag me out into a mine field and get us both blown to bits.
