I agree with the right...

...of raw dairy farmers. But don't forget who controls the USDA -- it's largely the big meat and dairy producers, not to mention the pharmaceutical industry. They have not only a vested interest in seeing their raw dairy competition out of business but in keeping Americans consuming a lot of meat and dairy as well.

So I don't listen to the USDA because I know who influences it. I also no longer listen to foundations like Weston Price that are supported by meat/dairy businesses. And most definitely will I never again listen to some overweight author who's cashing in on the low carb craze.

I'd rather listen to actual research scientists and doctors who've had their government grants pulled and/or are kicked off the USDA board for sticking to their principles. There is little vested interest in telling people to have an organic plant/organic grain-based diet. Chances of getting our health right are much better, I think, when we follow the money.
