I agree families benefit from the presence of both parents

However, mothers are mothers and fathers are fathers, and no matter how great a dad might be, he is not going to nurse the baby. It is such a simple thing, and yet miraculous. Sure, Dad can give the baby a bottle of formula. But a healthy mother makes the absolute perfect food for that child, her body just does it. There are some roles that the gender defines. As for combat, I don't think anyone is really "cut out for it" - some are just better able to handle the its horrors than others. I think it is a mistake to encourage the women who will bear our young to become combat hardened.
