My father was talking about military technology. He had low level access, which means he saw less than half the shit they had and things have changed since then.

We're talking about cloaks that can make a person blend into their surroundings. Radiowaves that can reach miles away and disorient to the point of fainting. This isn't science fiction, it's real, and it's insurmountable. 200 million automatic machine guns couldn't out match 200 nuclear bombs.
