It is possible that they are replacing it with a satellite system or something else. Not saying it is out of the question, just not enough information.

Even if it were true and done with a dark purpose - that still wouldn't be supportive of a charge of treason unless that dark purpose was supported by evidence.

And never forget, if we weren't interfering and provoking other nations, we wouldn't need to worry as much. That is where our focus should lie.
