You can't wait for a job to
You can't wait for a job to pop into your lap. You have to go out there and apply apply apply. Knock on doors of places you'd like to work. There is no excuse to work for minimum wage unless you haven't graduated from high school yet. Your future is what you make of it. Quit hanging around on the DP and listening to the apocalyptic SHTFanners. S is NOT going to HTF anytime soon. Quit wasting money that you barely have on the collapse.
Living within your means is great though! And, living at home is not that big of a deal. I saved up 100k while living with my parents and am about to move out. I'm 31. I think you are doing the right thing here - UNLESS there are no job opportunities in your area.
If you want to make money, move to an oilfield area and get any job you can land. You've got to go after it though.
Quit stressing out. Life is good. Some people prosper no matter what the political and economic climate. Be one of them.
