Comment: Hi Ryno!
Hi Ryno!
Well here's a little bit of advice for you, maybe it will help, as I was in a similar situation to you not so long ago.
First off, don't hope for the apocalypse!! That's not something that is going to take away your problems!
Secondly, here's something that may sound really weird but helped me out a lot: Follow your dream.
Basically, a lot of ex-grads like you are stuck in crappy jobs because they're told that that's all they can expect out of life nowadays. However, the reason life is so hard is often BECAUSE you're expecting so little out of life. What it takes to make a better life for yourself is motivation, and motivation can never be found doing crappy jobs that make ends meet. Do you have something in your life that you always wanted to do, that would be your dream job/ occupation, etc? A lot of people shelve these dreams because they believe they can't make them a reality and instead get the crappy job to pay the bills.
If you do have such a dream (however impossible) then here's my advice: DO IT.
No matter how hard, no matter how unlikely the chances of success, its worth it to be motivated everyday because you are following what you actually want to do instead of what is 'realistically possible'.
And you know what else? Everyone around you who feels bad for you because you're not getting what you want out of life, they would LOVE to help you achieve what you really do want to achieve. Your own enthusiasm for it will inspire others to help you and believe it or not, in no time you will have achieved it.
Decide what you REALLY want to be doing with your life in a perfect world, and pursue it. There's really no point in doing anything else.
It's 1776 again in America
