take on the Soviet Union? Who financed Al Qaeida in the early years? Who propped up Mubarak with nearly $2 billion per year in aid? Who deposed a democratically elected leader in Iran, in the 1950's and installed the bloodthirsty Shah - which resulted in a Muslim revolution?
All of these questions have the same answer - the USA did.
So the same problems we are supposedly fighting to solve - we BEGAN with our meddling.
And we are about to do the same thing in Syria. And why? Because the powers that be see perpetual war as justifiable economic stimulus (its the only one both parties go along with) and in order to make millionaires and billionaires of defense contractors.
You HAVE blood on your hands if you were over there, whether you admit it or not. SOMEBODY held those weapons. SOMEBODY pulled those triggers. And the trials at Nuremberg long ago showed us that "following orders" is no excuse.
