Sorry- I didn't lose 113 lbs
Sorry, for the misunderstanding- I mean I weigh 113 now. I was only 125 before, so no big accomplishment. And the weight loss was purely unintentional, which makes it kind of strange. I'm the rare bird who's afraid of losing any more weight. I think it happened because I lost my appetite after finding out how corrupt our government is.
Fasting is such an alien concept for me. The fact that you can go for so long without food is really unknown to most Americans. I was interested in your post because I've read elsewhere that it can be life changing. And as you said, fasting helped clear up health conditions for you. I'll have to try it for a day or two, but I'm not up for 40 days...yet.
So much in the Bible is taken as figurative. I'm learning that the Bible should be taken literally in many instances; giants, living for hundreds of years, fasting, all of Jesus' miracles, etc.
Thanks for being a sweet person and for helping all of us DPers in so many ways.
