Kept my attention throughout

The ending was interesting. The Liberty side of the argument was that responsible people who carry guns are able to keep their temperament even in the most dire situations. His life was not threatened but that doesnt mean he doesnt want to shoot him on vengeance. There are more important things to consider when pulling the trigger, like his brother, his religion, and ultimately the other guy's life.
fittingly, the wanderer might have learned something with this encounter since he left the safe. Now he has no gun and no money, and just maybe the taint of his murder can be washed away when he starts anew without his gun or his crime.
