Being black has nothing to do with it, though I would argue that for purposes of social cohesion that black people tend to be better suited for black congregations, and it is drawn from the fact that local churches in the New Testament tended not to intermingle with each other save the occasional traveler who needed a place to receive the sacraments, and here we're talking merely about different Greek city-states, let alone the massive divide between people of European and African ancestry.
