Comment: Tammuz is a month on the Hebrew Calander
Tammuz is a month on the Hebrew Calander
It doesn't even sound Hebrew to me.
The Catholic Church has Old Testement (Torah) and New Testement, and Gospel.. those are our three readings, every day.
Lent has nothing to do with Tammuz, at least not since Jesus spent 40 days in the desert fasting. Maybe that was why Jesus really did it.. I don't know and am by no means a biblical scholar. I do go to Bible Study and we use many scholarly bboksm and I attend Catechis, RENEW, teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It is my inderstanding that Lent is when we reflect on the suffering Jesus.
