I think our disagreement is simple.

You see and employer/employee relationship, like one has at Taco Bell or McD? The tip being a carrot and stick based on the quality of service.

I see the waitress as working for me, the restaurant provides token employment and pay so they can meet IRS regulations for income reporting.

I that how you see our disagreement?
