Consider Jesus's statement: "I tell you, before Abraham ever was, I AM."

This sums up in a single sentence the explanation. God is outside of time; time itself did not exist before He created it. C.S. Lewis described God's point of view as "His eternal Now."

Nothing created God because God Is. He is outside of time and is thus not bound by it; the requirement of creation only applies to those things bound by physical laws. God, as the ultimate Creator of all things, is obviously not bound by such things. There was no "before" God, ergo there was and is no requirement to be created on His part.
