Comment: The abuse of "God" does not disprove God.

The abuse of "God" does not disprove God.

It is a logical fallacy to suggest that because many have endeavored to make dishonest use of religion, that all religion is false---or that the God upon which much of that religion is based is not a reality.

It simply does not follow.

It is somewhat like arguing that since nobody follows our Constitution anymore, the Constitution is a fraud and there never was really a Constitutional Convention.

I know very little of other religions, but when it comes to Jews and Christians, very few of them ever give any consideration to how and why it is that the kinds of events described in their scriptures are not how happening. But that does not disprove those events any more than noting that there is not currently a "Big Bang" underway would prove that no "Big Bang" ever happened.
